Hi Steven <SNIP>
The problem I'm having ISN'T with Excel, it's with the data transfers refusing to do the transfer. Steven Donnellan
</SNIP> clearly you need to sort out where the problem is so you can fix it. Run the data transfers as discrete downloads (i..e not straight into Excel) and you will be able to easily see whether it is the transfer itself or not by checking the raw output. You should check the client access PTF level installed on each users PC and the client access level and also the office service pack levels. Frankly, my bet would also be excel/office as the culprit but I understand your frustration, especially if you have a PC guy just saying "its the old crappy AS4000" to all and sundry leaving you having to fix it or prove its not the AS/400. Theres a reason that legally you are not required to prove your innocence and that your accusers are required to prove your guilt :) Good Luck Regads Evan Harris
