Boy do I hear you on getting to simple, basic information.  Simple stuff
like this is like getting drug through a knot hole, SIDEWAYS!  :-)  I have
included the IBM Storage Home Page URL below.  From there you should be able
to get more info on 3581.

3581 is in fact IBM's LTO offering for iSeries.
