Anne, I would agree with the preceding posts. I believe that the apparent basic failure of the search engine to rank results by relevance is a solvable problem using currently available technology. It would seem that the Info Center has not been subjected to basic usability testing. If the folks were to get people who had specific needs come in and use the software to solve them, I think that many of the shortcomings would be apparent and could be resolved. To ask the user community to perform this testing after the system is put into production does not strike me as good design. There is much good in the InfoCenter. But I must admit that I use it as a last resort. My first step is to refer to the collection of PDF files I maintain on my hard drive. Then I'll do a Google search of ibm.com. Lastly I'll head to the InfoCenter. Is it possible that the V5R1 version was frozen months ago while the V5R2 version is readied for production? Regards, Andy Nolen-Parkhouse
