Jon, I think the solution to InfoCenter is a pure PDF library. Just good ole manuals with a table of contents, page numbers, and index that print on 8 1/2 x 11 (or A4 for the International folks) and be done with all of this. Who wants to search the entire library and why? If you can find the book for a product, facility, or service and search that book (PDF search is pretty good) who needs more? Just list product families or high end subjects and publish PDF's! Old folks like me can print them, younger folks can read them on-line! You can still shove PDF's on a CD and ship the CD's. The organization of bookmangler was pretty darned decent. You could always find the book. If you wanted System API's it was easy to find. DDS? RPG (guide and reference)! I love the old guide/reference style of creating manuals. Have you seen the WebSphere manual (its actually called the documentation center)? 1700+ pages of useless drivel! A browser based serach engine that doesn't work with MS/IE! UCD has gone mad! The inmates have definately taken over the asylum! Bob Cancilla Republic Indemnity Company of America (818)382-1023
