Query does one crazy thing upon exiting - It attempts to LOCK the file objects for a short period while saving the definition. So you are waiting for the lock to happen during the definition save. Good morning. On occasion, without pattern or otherwise noticeable reason, exiting a query can take upwards of 20 minutes (even before it actually submits the query for processing). Our system admin is as perplexed as I am on this one. Anyone have any experience or insight with this? Much appreciated, Jim _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
