Kronos uses UDP to communicate over TCP/IP to the clocks. This is normally
a low priority layer and high TCP/IP network traffic will cause collisions
that degrade UDP to the point that contact can be dropped or no made.

You can change the clocks to be on their own node (not mixed with other
traffic) for most of the trip.

You can set your network routing to increase the priority of the UDP
communications layer (must have smart routers).

Keeping the clocks separate is the best option since they could be
considered critical.

Subject: KRONOS Gatekeeper Downloads

We purchased KRONOS Gatekeeper for our AS/400, and we are experiencing
intermittent problems while downloading employees to the Gate clocks.
Sometimes it works fine, but most of the time it drops records.

They are communicating using TCP/IP via ethernet.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea of what could be causing
this?

We also keep getting messages that CLOCK are not responding while doing
polling.

Any help would be appreciated.
