Thanks Larry I will try this. -----Original Message----- From: Larry Bolhuis [mailto:lbolhuis@arbsol.com] Sent: Sunday, March 17, 2002 5:51 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: AS400 Email Karl, Clearly your biggest problem is that you are saddled with Exchange.. :-) You can't resend the lost messages at this point but you should be able to solve the problem for the future quite easily. Prompt the CHGSMTPA command and set some of the retry values there. Set appropriately the thing will attempt to retry delivery for nearly 3 months! (WAAAY to long by the way). You'll probably want to use the retries by hour parameters. Good luck! - Larry Lauritzen, Karl wrote: > > Is there any way to re-send emails when using the AS400 STMP/MSF? > > Problem: We set up AS400 SMTP server to send emails to our MS Exchange > Server and deliver. > When Exchange is not working all emails send by 400 never re-appear when > Exchange come back up. > > We convert spool file to PDF and put on IFS.
