   Clearly your biggest problem is that you are saddled with Exchange.. :-)

   You can't resend the lost messages at this point but you should be able
to solve the problem for the future quite easily. Prompt the CHGSMTPA
command and set some of the retry values there. Set appropriately the thing
will attempt to retry delivery for nearly 3 months! (WAAAY to long by the
way). You'll probably want to use the retries by hour parameters. Good luck!
