I got the same "invitation" in 1996. A friend of mine there works for one of
the guys who headed up the Atlanta Olympic Organizing Committee. He had been
assigned by his boss to "volunteer" his time. I got invited to spend 6 weeks
there without pay or reimbursement of expenses. It's definitely a poor man's
endeavor.
