This appears a little "odd" since they were the ones to develop all the software used in prior events. They had "everything" IBM makes at the summer deal in Atlanta... The amount of traffic was staggering as I recall, but this huge collection of 390s,RS/6000 and AS/400's handled the entire thing with no apparent failures or down time. This was your basic "world class network" that costs God's knows what. I don't recall seeing a IBM commercial on this year's event....
