You can use CPYSPLF, but you lose blank lines in the output. You need to use the CTLCHAR parameter, which will put stuff at the beginning of each record to say how to format the report, how underlines & bolds are handled, etc. Details can be found in the help text and probably in a printing redbook or something. This means you need a physical file with a record length, say, 4 characters longer than you report line length. And a program on the other end needs to process these control character elements.
