RE: Need suggestions for automating spool files to imaging input file

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.  I am checking into each of them.  In
the meantime, I wanted to add that the programs which generate the spool
files are third party application software.  Even though we could modify the
RPG or CL programs, it adds another level of maintenance when applying PTFs
or installing upgrades to the application software.

BTW, the majority of the electronic imaging (non-scanned) is from
correspondence or typed reports (agendas, minutes, ordinances, etc.).  These
are created by PC or network applications such as word processing or email.
Therefore, the decision makers chose a PC network based solution.  I just
have to integrate it with the AS/400 reports (spool files).
