******** original message Please tell me that there is a magic trick that will take care of this (and don't say: use other software, use other provider, write your own programs, etc) and I'll stop whining. *********** end original message Leif, This isn't a magic trick, but here goes. Keep your ISP and sign up with another mail service. Yahoo is free (depending on size) and can be used to POP your Leif.org mailbox (without deleting). It can apply filters to that mail as well as the mail coming to @yahoo.com. It also provides a web interface and can be use as a pop server or forwarder. In addition, it can block accounts as well. If for nothing else use it when you are checking your mail over a slow line and then delete when finished. I don't work for Yahoo and I am sure that other "free" mail providers do the same thing. I use Hotmail and Yahoo just to give me addresses to provided vendors. I just know more of Yahoo's options. David Boling Rowan County Information Systems Dir.
