I'm afraid you are Bang on the nose Dave.. We are currently in the middle of a change management program and more and more decisions are being left up to the all powerful consultants who think that the era of the PC and Server is the best thing since Sliced bread... The only thing that you missed out on is that our 400 Payroll application is also being upgraded but this could be taken off the 400 as well... -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com] Sent: 23 November 2001 14:18 To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Time and Attendance Keith wrote: > Just wondering if there is anyone out there running a Time and Attendance > System (Using a Swipe Card system) that feeds directly to an AS/400, that > they can recommend.. Keith, Reading between the lines of your message it looks as though the situation may be this. 1. You currently run payroll on your 400. 2. You want to add time & attendance. 3. You want to use swipecards for the T&A. 4. Because swipecards are involved the consultants want to bin the 400 and put everything onto Windows. Please tell me I'm wrong, Dave...
