If you are the person taking care of the car you better know what kind of engine it has! Are you going to put diesel fuel or gasoline in the tank? The same is true of email servers - you had better know how to configure it if you are the one responsible for it! On our highways your car must be inspected yearly to be sure all its safety bits or working right. Open relay checkers are doing the same thing.
