This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] In the deep recesses of my memory banks I seem to recall that starting the controlling subsystem also automatically (?) starts certain other subsystems. Looking at the startup program for one of my systems now and see that neither the QCTL nor the QINTER subsystems are explicitly started in it. And I seem to recall that if I use STRSBS QCTL when the system is in a restricted condition that it would automatically start the QINTER subsystem (as well as others, I believe). In fact, as I look over the startup program, it shows that subsystems QINTER, QBATCH, & QCMN are explicitly started when the controlling subsystem (according to the retrieved system value) is neither QSYS/QCTL nor QGPL/QCTL. So, where's the magic here? How does one specify that a given subsystem should start whenever the controlling subsystem is started?
