Just to echo the sentiment that ILE is a nice fit for Web applications. I'm a student of model-view-controller design, which offers a pattern for change resilient interactive applications. I have been so grateful for the elements of ILE that support modularity. It has enabled me to build layers of components that simplify development. The benefits of a layered approach to software, and the division of code into modules, may be unknown when you begin a project.
