in the V4r5 preventive service plan (psp) SF98450 is the following:
4. 00/10/11 To prevent possible query performance problems after
installing Version 4 Release 5.0, perform the following:
1. Order Database Group PTF SF99105 and have the CD
available BEFORE the upgrade.
2. Apply Database Group PTF SF99105 immediately after
applying the latest cumulative PTF package.
10. 01/06/04 DB2 Universal Database (UDB) for iSeries contains
join query performance enhancements. Refer to
Information APAR II12888 for additional information.
I would not load v4r5 without #4 above.
Are you having query problems after loading SF99105? This warning in psp
since Oct/2000.
Also would not load a release without reading the PSP (and am not saying you
didn't, but as a warning to others).
This same warning to anyone who received a v4r5 pre-loaded system.
I did 2 different v4r5 upgrades last weekend for 2 diff companies - no
problems.
