Hello Neil,

Every time I read that APAR it just gets better.  It is obviously a
rationalisation by a developer who got it wrong but refuses to admit that.
Even if one uses ILE exclusively, the I/O information is far more useful to
an application developer than the scoping and activation group information.

I have ordered this PTF for every release of OS/400 I have installed and I'm
sure I'm not alone.

I guess if the developer continually refuses to merge this fix with the base
OS then the erroneous statement

        "  Since the majority of customers use the ILE environment,
          this PTF would cause problems for them."

will eventually become true -- but it's certainly taking a bloody long time.
