Regarding Sara Lee & Tobacco Industry milking their customers AND killing them, I was reminded by Politically Correct last nite about other outfits in that business. There was a guy defending the Mafia, claiming it had been falsely sterotyped & most of the other guests could not get his point, because all believe the sterotype. I also remember several years ago when we had a union strike & they were firebombing places & cutting phone & power lines, and laying booby traps on the highways, running people off the road & shotgunning private residences, and the death threats were non-stop & the question came up WHAT IS THE MOTIVATION HERE ... if the company refuses to give in & the union wins, they are all out of a job. Well the motivation is that the union will destroy a few companies & that will mean that other companies will give in to these tactics. Interesting thing was that a group of members of the strikers were opposed to the violence & tried to get a court injunction against their own union to put a stop to it. Eventually the union split up the strikers so that different shifts had different philosophies ... the warmongers & the peacenicks. After a while, I thought that what the workers really needed was union # 2 to protect them from union # 1. I think some industries are just smoother at this than others.
