I'm not at all sure that "bundled" is a proper term in this case. Besides, 
PCS/CA/CAE often held specific advantages over competing client connectivity 
products. At every site I worked, there were specific needs met only by 
PCS/CA/CAE.

A couple jobs back, a few years ago, we needed every feature Client Access 
offered and no competitor had it all. Features such as data queue support were 
hard to find. If nothing else could be said for it, at least it had a lot of 
features. And it was certainly worth it to have IBM support all the way around.

Of course, having support didn't mean it all worked nor that the various 
connected products had developers who agreed with each other. But at least none 
of them could say "It's that other company's fault!"
