I just want to say that when I get a response like I just gave you
(uptodatelatestversioncrap) from tech support I sometimes have to roll my
eyes. However, where can you go with your situation? You've got a PC OS
that is known to have problems (thanks Bill) and CAE with its dogged history
(remem PC Support). I often try the latest version/reload thing in hopes it
will work.
