Re: Need feedback on 6386 tape drive.

We've had no problems with the 25gb tape drive.  I don't have comparisons
with the old 13gb though.  I do know that the first time we upgraded from
the 2.5 to the 25 we had to check our backup several times because we did
not believe that it could run that fast.  However, a 3590 still smokes the
25gb like it was a cheap cigar.

All,

We're considering the replacement of our troublesome 6385 (13GB) tape drive
with a new 25GB (6386), and before I sign on the dotted line, I'd like to
hear from anyone who has anything to say about the 6386 - good or bad. Feel
free to send your comments off-list if you're not comfortable with making a
public statement.
