Kind of my thoughts also. But, wasn't there some goofy product marketed by
IBM for migrating data from a S/36 to a 400 which twinaxed the two machines
together?

Bob,
Can you elaborate on how the AS/400's are physically attached? I.e. what
does the twinax cable plug into? Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't believe
you
can just link 2 twinax controllers from different 400's and have them
communicate.
