Our 3570 was rebuilt many times by CEs until a senior CE determined that the entire tape stock was defective. We had IBM Media replace the entire tape inventory. Same problem. The new tapes were also defective. We replaced the inventory a second time. Problem went away. _________________________ Lorne Sturgeoff Systems Development Manager Allied International Credit Corp. 11 Allstate Pkwy, Suite 500 Markham ON Canada L3R 9T8 Phone: 905 513 3517 Fax: 905 470 8155 Email: lgs@aiccorp.com > -----Original Message----- > From: rob@dekko.com [SMTP:rob@dekko.com] > Sent: Friday, June 22, 2001 2:30 PM > To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com > Subject: RE: 3570 c12 tape drive question > > > Yes, and until a few months ago, I, too, would have extolled the > virtues of > the 3570.
