Check out protocol converters. There are several out their that give you RS232,422... to IP that can front end to your AS400 via a custom socket client program. Predicia I think is one and Systech is another that I can think of off the top of my head. You can plug in an IR device to a serial port off one of these boxes. As for USB, see if they have one coming in the future. Christopher K.
