Don't shoot me if I'm wrong about this, but I was under the impression that
"Project Lightning" was the precursor to OLEDB support on the /400. I don't
think it was abandoned, just renamed by the marketing folk.....

Part of the reason I have gone cold on the AS/400 is Project
Lightening which showed great promise died.
Anyway Im not the only one( I can name two "big names" in the AS/400 scene
that have gone over to MS SQL Server you can find them at www.sqlmag.com

BTW there is a very good Wrox Press book which has a chapter devoted to
DB2/400

details at www.wrox.com . One of the previous posters said that you
can make a living just by being an expert in one area of the AS/400
and you can do that with MS. Wrong take a look at the Wrox Press
site and you will see why .
