I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you & with my posts no less.

Sometimes when I post something to Midrange, I see my post bounce back to me
in less than an hour & sometimes it takes days ... thus if there is something
I want to post & it does not show up, I wait several days before retrying
anything.

I would first ask if you are on other lists & if this only happens to you on
Midrange list - reason being that sometimes weird stuff happens & it helps to
troubleshoot if this is a problem with MY ISP / YOUR ISP / or MIDRANGE L ISP.

I have only seen a narrow range of instances of repeating messages.

1. Sometimes the Midrange_L ISP malfunctions & it causes people posts to be
posted again & again, with different users getting different repeating
patterns, so I get to read Leif's words of wisdom 3 times & you get to read
my BS 90 times.

I do not know that we need an explanation of David as to the technicalities
of this, it is enough to tell him that the list is repeating again.

2. People move & go on trips & their e-mail when they are gone responds in a
manner that is not designed to get them off of the list gracefully.

3. Sometimes AOL fails & ends up with sending out 2 copies of the first
e-mail in any cluster that I send ... I can usually catch this pretty fast
because I often send an e-mail copy to myself almost every day at the front
of my cluster, and I also regularly check my log of mail headers ... when I
see that this is happening again, I put a dummy post to myself & to no one
else at the front of my clusters until I can get it fixed.

4. Sometimes AOL gets corrupted in sending e-mail to me & I have to get
another corrected copy but the error-routines are not good enough to inform
the end user what the heck is going on - we have to figure this out for
ourselves.
