Amen, I have been dropped by Covad/Bluestar, switched to Connectsouth and now Connectsouth is bankrupt and I could lose service at any time. I am in the process of switching over to a dedicated T1 with one of the major long distance/Internet providers. In most cases it takes at least 30 days to get a new circuit installed. I would agree that unless the DSL is provided by the local Telco I would stay away. The service worked great and was inexpensive (299/month for 1.2Mb/s) but the long term future of many of these providers is questionable. Dedicated T1 access has really gone down in price over the last couple of years. Most of the quotes that I got for T1 service were about $1000 per month, including the local loop. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
