If you want GUI you can go with Operations Navigator. For green screen there's UPDDTA, STRSQL, RPGIV, CPYF, WRKDBF, etc. Sterling? Are you looking for something which will map from this DB2 file to another DB2 file? There are packages out there which will do this. Harbinger makes a great one. I guess I need to know what you mean by 'mess'. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! Or to go backwards try creating an externally defined PF and use CPYTOIMPF FROMFILE(*LIBL/&FILE) TOSTMF('/mydir/myfile.txt') RCDDLM(*CRLF) STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII) and then use DSPF to view the ifs file. Once you've imported the file into your physical file then you can have your way with it. Rob Berendt ================== Remember the Cole! This product would be able to read in AS400 files (most likely files transferred from a p/c, like ACCESS or even comma delimited files), and manipulate the data to meet customer requirements. We use RPG and unless we find some other tool we will probably need to create conversion programs to do this. If anyone has used such a product or knows of such a product, please forward any information to me. Much appreciated!
