All, This is a long e-mail. We have several Optra printers connected via ethernet and IP to our AS/400. There are times when we have large jobs, 700 to 1000 pages to print. The writer will report back as ending abnormally. However all the pages will print. If you restart the writer, the same spool file will try to print again. It remains in RDY status. The printers have at least 16mb of memory installed. They are very tired of having to wait thru 700 letters for their page to print only to find the letters starting over again. I appreciate any hints for things to look at.
