I have a client who has WebSphere Application Server (5769AS1) installed on a V4R4 machine, and all the group PTFs, but there is no QEJB library. This doesn't make any sense, since WAS3.0 requires the QEJB library in order to run the adminclient. Now, the only difference between this setup and the ones I am used to is the fact that this client does NOT have WebSphere Advanced Edition installed (5733WA3). It gets a little confusing here, because AE is required for EJB support, but we don't need EJB support, we need the adminclient. But, as I pointed out, the adminclient requires the library QEJB. Is this an unfortunate naming convention? Or does QEJB only come with the advanced edition, thereby making it required in order to run WAS3.0 of ANY edition? I am soooo confused.
