Mike, I was not attempting to make a comparison of Lansa and the former Synon products, I was responding to the comment made that he had heard that development had stopped on these products. I was demonstrating that both of the products have active release schedules. For the record, Plex has far superior cross platform capabilities to Lansa and has had them for years longer. The first wide scale WAP application deployed in the world (on any platform) was performed by a company in Scandanavia using Plex. I have all of these products -- Lansa, Plex and 2E. I personally use Plex on a regular basis. As I said, I do not want to get into a comparison of the products or sling any mud on Lansa. If I was starting from ground zero, had no experience in any of the products, and was looking for an AS/400 solution, I would likely choose Lansa over Plex because it seems to be more widely used and is less expensive. To be perfectly honest, however, I would likely choose a Java/WebSphere solution and forego these tools altogether.
