I've heard Dr Frank tell the story but the quote may not be precise. I think you may find that after the unsuccessful NT implementation the applications were outsourced & indeed the service provider runs them on AS/400, sorry iSeries. So technically speaking MS do not 'have' any AS/400s or 'use' applications that run on AS/400. But is their administration based on the services provided by a third party? (which just happens to provide those services on AS/400s specifically bought for that purpose)....... I forsee lawers mincing words.......
