V3R7 PTF required for PJL support is SF38640.  The latest PTF in the supersede list for SF38640 is SF55662.  Order the cover letter for SF38640 for info on creating the printer device, then order the PTF & apply SF55662.

The above PTF is not to be confused with the PTF's required to support PC5250 printer emulation, device naming and Bypass signon, over TCP/IP - as documented in Informational APAR II10918.

There were several PTF's that needed to be loaded to be able to do TCP/IP
printing on V3R7.

I just looked at the document, and it doesn't seem to tell me much at all.

I have successfully created a printer device from an AS/400 to this printer
at V4R3M0 with no problem at all, works as advertised.  I just can't seem
to get it to work at V3R7M0.

Jim Langston
