Unfortunately, IBM like most companies had to do a Cost vs Benefits
analysis of the target audience.
Now then, What percentage of AS/400 shops have Windows as their Company's
PC platform ?
What percentage of AS/400's had X-Windows ?
Ok, I guess Windows wins.
I haven't joined this thread till now, but I have heard it other places
about "How Come Window Tools ?"
On this subject, if you were on the 400 around '88 - '93 when IBM was
OS/2 for ALL tools, Period.
It was US, You and Me, the AS/400 customers that said "IBM, Wake up. We
all have Windows. Give us Windows affinity. Then they did, and now I hear
complaints ? Well excuse me while I shed a tear.
