Using the interactive SQL product you can connect to any defined SQL data base including Access. The machine you are connecting to must be running DRDA via TCP/IP. The command to add a relation data base is: QSYS/ADDRDBDIRE RDB(xxxxxx) RMTLOCNAME('xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' *IP) PORT(*DRDA) Then in the SQL use the CONNECT and prompt it. Christopher K. I'm trying to read a microsoft Access Database... And I was wondering if I can do it from the AS/400 via SQL? So my question is this, if I place the access database on the IFS, can I run SQL on the as/400 and read the database? And if so, how would I point to it?
