There was reputed to be a version of OS/400 that allowed the AS/400 to act as an ODBC client - not a server, a client. If you can find that, then you can use the 400 to connect to a client machine containing the .mdb using ODBC. If you put the .mdb into the IFS, what application on your AS/400 knows how to read an mdb? Nothing that I know of.
