Which part is the grin for?

Oh, like maybe the IBM Client Access ODBC drivers won't work for an MS
Access target?  Probably true.  I can use access odbc drivers to talk to an
access database on my PC machine and that is what I was thinking.  So, what
does that mean for the AS/400 ODBC client support?  Only to another AS/400?
That would be sort of pointless.

Actually this will not work.  Access is not a C/S database.  You would need
MS Access 2000 for OS/400 :-)
