We have had some 3196s within the past 10 years because IBM dropped support for our old 5290 clunkers & I wanted to have something covered by IBM support as main console per site ever since an IBM CE balked at "talking" to the system through a non-IBM twinax ... there used to be a microscopic "flap" along the bottom edge of the monitor that could pull open a microscopic "drawer" containing a microscopic "manual" that had some basic info about 3196 operations, if you have a magnifying glass to read it properly. The drawer is totally invisible if you do not know that it is there.
