× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

We have had some 3196s within the past 10 years because IBM dropped support 
for our old 5290 clunkers & I wanted to have something covered by IBM support 
as main console per site ever since an IBM CE balked at "talking" to the 
system through a non-IBM twinax ... 

there used to be a microscopic "flap" along the bottom edge of the monitor 
that could pull open a microscopic "drawer" containing a microscopic "manual" 
that had some basic info about 3196 operations, if you have a magnifying 
glass to read it properly.  The drawer is totally invisible if you do not 
know that it is there.
