it was a windows based, very comprehensive tool to collect in house a/r.
there was nothing that couldn't be done with the as/400 and the current
windows tools, whatever your choice is.

it was well thought out and well designed.  and the vendors put on a
good show. 

it was also expensive.  leased for $500 per month, per seat.

i mentioned to the twosome that we were as/400 programmers, and an
application like that could be written that was as/400 based.  the guy
told me i'd be wasting my time, the as/400 was old and no one wanted
as/400 software anymore.  when i told them that wasn't true, you could
do gui and all kinds of stuff with the as/400, they looked at me funny. 
i guess they wondered how many times i'd been thru the drink line..
