The sad part is that this seems to be the trend. IBM royally stinks when it comes to managing the AS/400; it's most powerful in years. A while ago, I was talking with a few former co-workers. None of them program on the AS/400 anymore. The job market in their new towns has vanished. The jobs that are available are maintenance and downsizing. My boss is even having trouble finding stuff for me to do. So, I'm looking into Linux programming and VB too.
