Eric, So long as you use the root file system (NOT QDLS!!!) you are limited basically by amount of storage (Another reply had the chart with the limits). I have one customer that has a single directory with well over 100K .JPG files in it and it performs well. (a 720-2061) Just don't do DIR *.* or bring it up in Windows explorer!! I actually asked someone from rochester this question and he asked if the machine was still running. When I replied in the affirmative, he told me "it's well over 100K then for sure!".
