The financial, membership, calendaring, and other systems used in most congregations are DOS based. Their popular Personal Ancestral File (Genealogy) program is DOS based. Several of the "Family History" systems are DOS based. Is the church anti-technology? No. On the contrary, the church also has some of the most modern systems available. I can only speculate that many of their systems are DOS based because the church feels the resources it would take to upgrade to Pentium-Windows systems would be better spent elsewhere. From personal experience, I can say the DOS based software is high quality. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
