Hello Dave,

I wouldn't be surprised about no new enhancements either.  But you can replace 
DDS for 
display files and printer files with UIM.  UIM is fairly well disseminated, 
just not 
practiced.  While UIM (both the tag language and the APIs) is not as simple to 
use as 
DDS, it isn't that hard either.

Besides, since IBM would like us all to move to a platform-neutral environment 
using 
Java, JDBC, stored procedures, browsers, etc. will we care in a few years?
