Hello Patrick and Rob,

You can also set the timeout for an individual FTP session by issuing the TIME 
command:

        quote time 99999999
or
        site time 99999999
or
        quote site time 9999999

depending on your FTP client implementation. This will effectively make the 
timeout 
unlimited (well a bloody long time).

The timeout value is a long integer which means the maximum timeout is 
2147483647 
seconds (or approximately 68 years).  I reckon you'ld IPL at least once in that 
time 
so that makes it unlimited :)
