This may sound a little hokie, but if you try to do a CPYSPLF in the FTP script to a spooled file that is not there, the FTP output file will give you a Spooled file not found in job .... Then do a WRKJOB on the qualified job name and resubmit the FTP script while looking at the inter active job log on the 400. I have found that each time I submit the FTP script, the 400 reuses the job name/user/number that was used in the previous run. I am not sure when these jobs actually go away, but I am guessing at IPL time or when shutting down FTP on the 400. I used this method when trying to track down some problems using the remote command with CPYSPLF but that is another story. My problem occurs very close to one minute. Somehow I seem to remember one minute being the default for certain things like locked file wait time. I looked for locked files associated with the program I was calling but couldn't find any. I was hoping someone knew where you could find an error or job log for the ftp session or how to turn on some kind of trace to see what is happening with the particular session.
