<*snip> I think business partners have this type of support. <*endsnip>

Chris,

While is it true that business partners have access to some levels of
support that other customers do not, this support is primarily pre-sales,
and not the kind of technical support you would receive from Partners in
Development, Support line, or Consult line. The Premier Business Partner I
work for still has to pay for those services the same as you do. I do have
some access to on line information that other customers do not have, but
those searches are,,, well no need to start that flame war again......

Having said all that, I agree with Mark's comments completely. Remember
that not too long ago the AS/400 was not a strategic product for IBM, and
even though its been 10 - 12 years since then, I don't think the attitude
in IBM (outside of Rochester MN) has changed about the
machine/architecture.

Only when IBM decides to beat Billy at his own game will things change. Oh
how I long for OS/2 to be able to run most of my desktop software, but alas
it will not and I am stuck with windows.

JMHO ( and not that of my employer)

Jim
