This is probably a long shot but if it is a one shot transfer, you could
download the files to a pc (binary mode if need be) and move them to a device
common to your pc and one the mainframers have on a pc like DLT or TR3 tape or
ORB or Jazz Cartridge.  They could then restore the files to a pc and upload to
the mainframe.  An even weirder idea - use a laptop to download the data to and
then take the laptop to whereever the mainframe is and connect it for upload!
