> The spooltool utility does not seem to have the option to restore the save spooled files. Does anyone know an easy way to restore the original spooled files with no loss of attributes. The S/36 had a perfect tool for saving/restoring spoolfiles: COPYPRT. You can find it in the S/36-environment on your AS/400 (if you installed it: 5769SS1- 5 : OS/400 - System/36 Environment). It retains most attributes like fonts, pagelayout, etc. Of course you have to know something about theS/36 environment to use this tool. More info: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com:80/cgi-bin/bookmgr/BOOKS/QBJAUR00/4.64?ACTION=MATCHES&REQUEST=COPYPRT&TYPE=FUZZY&searchTopic=TOPIC&searchText=TEXT&searchIndex=INDEX&rank=RANK#FIRSTHIT If you want a more sophisticated tool from IBM: 5769BR1 Backup Recovery and Media Services for AS/400 Personally I think OS/400 should include a SAVSPLF and RSTSPLF command... Spoolfiles are important and should be part of the "Backup entire system" option.
